First published in 1850 by the National Acting Drama Office in London.

Performance history in South Africa

1861: Performed in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town by the Cape Town and Royal Alfred Dramatic Club on 7 March, with Othello, a "musical extravaganza" by an anonymous author.
