Intermezzo is a play in three acts by French dramatist Jean Giraudoux.

The original text

First produced on 1 March 1933 at the Comédie des Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Translations and adaptations

Translated into English from the French by Donald Inskip for the Little Theatre Players production in 1950.

The Enchanted is a 1950 English adaptation by Maurice Valency of the play Intermezzo written in 1933 by French dramatist Jean Giraudoux.

Performance history in South Africa

1950: Presented in English by the Little Theatre Players at the Little Theatre, Cape Town, in December, directed by Arnold Pearce.
