His qualifications include BA (Honours) Drama – University of Pretoria (late 1970s).
Career
In 2011 he became Head of the Department at CityVaristy School of Media & Creative Arts in Cape Town.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student he played Ed Anderson in Come Back, Little Sheba (1977).
As a Producer/Director in live theatre some of his productions include: The Return of the Soldier (multimedia, State Theatre production), The Marriage Proposal, (Civic Theatre) and Die Haasvanger (multimedia, Nico Malan Theatre, Cape Town). He has also appeared in PACT's 1978 production of Bartho Smit's Die Keiser.

He was nominated for a Vita Award: Best Author, Drama Script.
