A Cape Town barber, who had named his shop "Joe Barber" (a pun on the Afrikaans word "jou", meaning "your", and pronounced "joe" in the distinctive variant called Kaaps.) The shop and the title had become the inspiration for the series of hits plays by the same name in the first decade of the new millenium.
