Le Bal d'Ouvriers ("The workers' ball") is a "comédie-vaudeville" in one act by Louis Desnoyers (1802-1868)[1] and Charles Varin (1798–1869)[2].

The original text

First performed in Paris at the Théatre National du Vaudeville on 25 February, 1831. Published by Bezou in the same year.

1833: Performed in Cape Town on 24 October by visiting French performers on their way to the Île de Bourbon (i.e. Île de Réunion), as afterpiece to Ma Tante Aurora, ou Le Roman Impromptu (Longchamps and Boieldieu).
