Frederik Rompel (1871-1940). Journalist, writer, critic, *** and elocutionist.
In 1905 he and his wife Annie did recitals of inter alia Afrikaans poetry in Den Haag, which led to visits to South Africa by Dutch artists. He wrote a column under the title Van Alle Kante in Die Burger. His writings also included reviews and discussions of theatre in the Cape.
