Going Gooding: A Play on Radio is a one-man show about South African radio, written and performed by Malcolm Gooding. The title, Going Gooding, is taken from his late-night rock music show which ran from 1968 to 1974 on SABC radio’s English Service. The first performance of the stage show, produced and directed by Tim Sandham and Angus Douglas, was on 22 June 2013 in Smithfield in the Freestate, after which it went to the Grahamstown Festival, the Roodepoort Theatre in Johannesburg and various other venues across the country.
