Mr Bertrand (17**-18**) was a pioneering ballet master in the Cape Town at the start of the 19th century.
Contribution to South African Theatre and Performance
One of the "overseers" (producers) and director of dance for the first production of Het Beleg en het Nemen van Troyen by C.E. Boniface in the African Theatre, Cape Town, on 11 September and 9 October 1813.
