Dr Helen Robinson is a Cape Town historian and author.
Her books include about the area around the east side of Table Mountain include: Beyond the City Limits – People and Property at Wynberg (her PhD thesis); Wynberg – a Special Place; The Villages of the Liesbeeck and Shakespeare at Maynardville (2005).
Also wrote The Trovato Link, a novel.
Contribution to SA theatre
Her book Shakespeare at Maynardville (2005) provides a history of the famous Maynardville Open-air Theatre in Cape Town. She also wrote an article on the contribution to theatre in Cape Town by René Ahrenson and Cecilia Sonnenberg, published in 2006.
