Vigil (adapted for the British stage as Auntie and Me) is a two-hander play by Canadian playwright Morris Panych (1952- ) [1]. A dark comedy about an unexpectedly extended visit between Kemp, a lifelong misfit, and his bedridden elderly aunt.
First performed in 1995. Published January 1st 1996 by Talonbooks and translated into 19 languages since then.

2008: The Actors Centre, Market Theatre, directed by Elise van Niekerk, starring Kurt Wustmann and Val Donald Bell.
2013: Performed at the 2013 Grahamstown Festival and the Fugard Theatre, directed by Christopher Weare with Graham Hopkins as Kemp and Vanessa Cooke as Grace. Set and costumes by Julia Anastasopoulos.
2014: The same production was staged at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square in Johannesburg.
