Ian has appeared in many Brickhill-Burke productions in Durban including Lady be Good and The Boy Friend. He came to Johannesburg with the Brickhill-Burke production Oklahoma! and stayed on to take part in A Midsummer Night's Dream. He had roles in The Miser for PACT (1964) and in Godspell (1974-5).
