Biography
Daughter of actors Bill Brewer and Fiona Fraser.
Youth
Training
She has a LTCL and Fellowship from Trinity College, London.
Career
She was Chairman of The Writer's Guild of South Africa. She has a broad knowledge of all aspects of the arts , having worked in nearly all of them since she was six months old.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Stage roles have included The Passion of Dracula (as “Wilhelmina” for Toerien/Firth), Now and Then (schools program), Letters of Love, Lust and Living.
As playwright she won the Soundscapes competition in 1995 for Best South African play for her first play Samuel's Fugue, her second play Please Hold, I'm Coming ran to great critical and audience acclaim at the Civic Theatre and a third text, Rockatutu was written for the South African Ballet Theatre.
Her TV work includes many TV series, such as Usindiso/Redemption!!; her film work has produced international film scripts, like Paris le Cap, Cheap Lives, The Weatherman, 12 Dancing Princesses, Story of an African Farm , Corner Pocket and The Chemo Club.
She won the Soundscape Radio Playwriting competition for Samuel's Fugue.
