Le Mariage de Jocrisse is a comedy in one act by Charles Jacob Guillemain (1750-1799)[1].

The original text
First performed in Le théâtre de la Cité, Paris on 23 November, 1797, and published in Paris by Barba in 1797.
Translations and adaptations
Translated into Dutch as Het Huwelijk van Jocrisse, by Bernard Anthoine Fallée (1773-1847)[2] and published in Amsterdam, 1810.
Performance history in South Africa
1825: Performed in Dutch with the spelling Het Huwelyk van Jocrisse by Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense on 24 September, with De Papegaai (or De Papegaay) by Von Kotzebue.
