Captain Fisher (18**-18**) was a with the British Garrison at Cape Town and amateur actor during the 1850s.
An accomplished actor "high above the class called amateur actors" (Bosman, 1928[1]: p.404), he was a stalwart of Captain Hall's Company, and had most of the leading roles in the pieces put on by the Officers of the Garrison in 1852-3. These include The Illustrious Stranger, or Married and Buried, Bombastes Furioso and Did you ever send your wife to Camberwell? in 1853.
