She played the role of the messenger in the first, ground-breaking production of C. Louis Leipoldt's Die Heks in 1925, opposite Paul de Groot and Stephanie Faure in the leading roles.
She wrote verses for children and illustrated Elsie die Veldkindjie, a play for children.
