She started her career as a member of the company of Jean Plaatstultjes. Later she joined the Hanekoms, played for JAATS and for several years she worked for the NTO.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She made her debute for NTO in 1954 in So Praat die ou Rivier. She had roles in Die Twisappel, Oupa Kanniedood (1957), Skrikkeljaar (NTO, 1958).
She acted in the films Bou van 'n Nasie and Lord Oom Piet and became a favourite actress on TV in series such as Nommer Asseblief (as tant Betta) and Egoli.
