General Francis Dundas (c.1759-1824) was a British general and acting governor of the Cape Colony between 1798 and 1803.

He was an ally of Sir George Yonge[1] and he and his wife, Mrs Dundas, were supporters of the amateur theatricals of the Garrison Players and the building of the African Theatre.
