Mr Stapleton (18**-18**) was an amateur actor and company manager. A Cape Town citizen, who was the director of a company of amateurs (variously referred to as Mr Stapleton's Company, Mr Stapleton's Party and the Cape Town Amateur Company) in 1829, whereafter is appears to have become part of All the World's a Stage.
