DANIELS, Salie (19**-1999) was a South African singer and actor. In the late 1950's and into the 1960's he was a member of The Rockets, a vocal harmony group formed in District Six in Cape Town. His life story inspired the musical Kat and the Kings and in the early productions he played the part of Kat Diamond, the narrator.
