Theatrical is a term closely related to and deriving from Theatre (Theater). Used as an adjective or adverb, it means "like theatre" or "relating to", Theatre in phrases like theatrical event, theatrical . In nuance it is however clearly different from Theatre itself when used as an adjective, since the latter means "of theatre", or "relating to theatre" in another way (e.g. in "theatre personality", "theatre audience", theatre venue, etc.)
