Malan Steyn (197*-) is an Afrikaans playwright, scriptwriter and lecturer. *
Studied drama and Afrikaans literature at the University of Stellenbosch, where he did a B.A. Honours course in playwriting.
Author of Die Kaal Generaals (“The naked generals” - 199*), **, Roadkill/Padkos (1999-2000), Outopsie (2001), Bok-bok staan styf, (KKNK, 2002), Eet Alles (“Eat everything” - Aardklop, 2004) and ***. Co-author of Rooikôppetjie (with Saartjie Botha, Francois Toerien and Nicole Holm) and Die Joseph en Mary Affair (with Ilse Oppelt - Woordfees, 2003).
Chief writer for the TV series Binnelanders. In 2009 became a lecturer in Drama at Stellenbosch, teaching playwriting.
