The Mask and the Face: A Grotesque in Three Acts (Italian: La maschera e il volto [1]) is a 1913 comedy by Italian playwright, theatre critic, and writer of short stories Luigi Chiarelli (1880-1947) [2].

The original text

La maschera e il volto, written in 1913, first produced in 1916.

Translated into English by Noel de Vic Beamish.

An English translation published in International Modern Plays. Dent, 1950.
