Carwatch is a 2003 one-woman play by Gerben Kamper.
The original text
Based on a short story with the same title by Maretha Maartens, about Glenda Hattingh, a single mother of five children who has to make a living as a guard in a parking area.
Performance history in South Africa
Premiered at the Volksblad Kunstefees in July 2003, directed by Gerben Kamper, with Lulu Botha as Glenda. Staged subsequently in various venues and at arts festivals, including the Klein Libertas Teater at the Woordfees in Stellenbosch in March 2004.
