("The peace Festival, or The unsuspected return") A German comedy in two acts for children, by Christian Felix Weisse.
Published in 1779 by Schramm and, in the fifth volume of the collection entitled Kinderfreundes, by Siegfried Lebrecht Crusius.
Translations and adaptations
Bosman suggest this may have been translated into Dutch as Het Vredensfeest by Fokke Simonz (Arend Simonszoon Fokke) in 1802.
Performance history in South Africa
First performed in German in the African Theatre, Cape Town on 12 March 1803 by Het Hoogduitsche Gezelschap van het Liefhebbery Theater with Die Ueberrasschung (Stephanie).
