Training
Ferris trained as a child actor at the Italia Conti School, London. He appeared in numerous West End shows as a dancer before starting to choreograph and direct.
Career

Quoted from the programme of Tom Foolery in 1981: 'In 1967 he staged the revival of Oliver! at the Piccadilly Theatre, London, and in Tokyo in 1968 and was associate director on the current revival at the Albery Theatre, London - as well as directing same for PACT in Johannesburg in 1978. He recently directed the musical Snapshots at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East, and staged the new John Antrobus musical Jonah at Cambridge.
