A musical farce by John Gideon Millingen (1782–1862). Music composed Charles E. Horn. It was first performed by the Drury Lane Company at the Theatre Royal, Lyceum on Saturday, January 19th, 1811. Published 1818.


Performances in South Africa

While no specific performance is mentioned , Bosman (1928: p. 184) does record a call for the music of The Bee-hive by the Amateur Company of officers in Cape Town 1823.
