Hassan a play in five acts first produced 1923, by English playwright and poet James Elroy Flecker (1884-1915). **
A lavish production was done by NTO, in conjunction with African Consolidated Theatres, in 1950, featuring André Huguenet, Lydia Lindeque, Jobie Stewart, **. Directed by Basil Dean.
In 1951 Dean re-produced it in London for the Festival of Britain celebrations. The cast then was André Huguenet, Hilda Simms, Elizabeth Sellars, Frederick Valk, Arthur Lowe. Director: Basil Dean. Choreography of ballets: Marie Rambert; decor: Motley
