A play by American playwright and educator Milan Stitt (1941-2009). The original play was based on a real life 1919 murder trial. Writing on the play began in 1965 and debuted in 1971; it finally appeared on Broadway in 1976.

Performance history in South Africa

Presented by Pieter Toerien, opening in the André Huguenet Theatre in April 1985, starring Amanda Strydom, Joe Stewardson, Andrew Buckland, Valerie Dunlop, John Whiteley and Drummond Marais, directed by Rex Garner.
