A meticulous craftsman and demanding teacher who directed a number a memorable productions for the Department, including ****, Schaffer’s Equus (1988/9?*), Wilder’s Our Town/Ons Dorp (19**) and Strindberg’s Miss Julie (19**).

He left Stellenbosch and University teaching in 199*, to become a language teacher in the east.
