Mario Schiess (1937-1998) German born playwright, director and producer.** His most memorable achievement was perhaps his adaptation and direction of Marius Weyers in Kafka's Report to an Academy in 19**. Plays include Iscariot, SCHIESS, Mario. He directed an Afrikaans translation of Equus at Upstairs at the Market in 1978. He translated (from Kafka’s German) and directed Report to the Academy starring Marius Weyers which played at The Laager in 1979.
