(b. **/**/**** - d. **/**/****).  Actor.  Little is known about Abie Baker, but at some stage he seems to have been a member of Graham Moffat’s company.  This Scottish actor, director and playwright toured South Africa in 1921, but Baker was already with him when the company performed ''Bunty Pulls the Strings'' at the Theatre Royal in Bristol in March 1914 and then accompanied them when they visited Australia, presenting this play at the Theatre Royal in Adelaide (December 1914) and  ''A Scrape o’ the Pen'' at the Palace Theatre in Sydney (June 1915) and at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne (October 1915).  In 1919 Abie Baker was in South Africa to take the part of Alphonse in [[H. Lisle Lucoque]]’s film version of [[Allan Quatermain]] (1919) for [[African Film Productions]]. (FO)
