(17**-18**) Soldier, actor and singer. A prominent member of the 72 Highlanders, who performed in the barracks during the period 1823-28). Schofield played "mr Oldbutton" in their production of Paul Pry and "Sir Mark Chase" in A Roland for an Oliver, as well as singing a song during the interlude.
