-The aim is to build bridges between artists, academics and activists and create a virtual archive on youth culture research in the Global South, in order to create a space for researchers – who are exploring aspects of youth culture, development and activism from a range of disciplines – to network and share resources.
-The site was developed by Gary Stewart, a  lecturer in Computer Science at the [[University of Cape Town]] and is edited by [[Adam Haupt]] of the [[Centre for Film and Media Studies]] at UCT.
