Meso Theatre Group was founded in Lesotho in 1987.

Also found as MESO Theatre Group.

History

The company was active in the community with workshops for youth and children. It also carried out a project for women first offenders (at the Maseru prison) and handicapped children. The group toured with the theatre company to Zimbabwe and Botswana and took part in 1988 at the Fringe Edinburgh Festival. Plays by South African playwriter Zakes Mda were performed in all these trips.
