A musical about the ostrich feather boom in Oudtshoorn in the early 20th century.
Janine Neethling won a Fleur du Cap Award for Best Contribution to a Musical or Revue for Vere.
Performance history in South Africa
2001: A large scale and expensive production was commissioned for the 2001 Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees, directed by Deon Opperman and musical direction by Janine Neethling, with Jaci Smith (Mariaan), Hannes Muller (Boet Jan), Eben Smith (Chrisjan), Zane Meas (Pieter Plaas), Natalia da Rocha (Meisie Plaas), Wikus du Toit (Anton) and others.
