A purpose built theatre complex that is part of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg campus (Golf Rd Pietermaritzburg).

The theatre was the brainchild of Dr Denis Schaffer, a lecturer in the Drama Department. The venue openened in 1977. The venue was designed to be theatre in the round - it is almost circular and the proscenium and seats can be flexibility arranged.

In 2014, the venue was headed by Peter Mitchell (Director), Sandra Styles (Theatre Manager) and Marcus Henning (Technician Head).

2014: Dancing in the Desert, Dirt, Woza Albert!, and the Annual Hexagon Minifest.
