Het Jan Marais Nationale Fonds ("The Jan Marais National Fund", acronym HJMNF) is a fund created at the University of Stellenbosch to support the education, research, social projects and cultural activities in Afrikaans, notably in the Stellenbosch region.

Also known as the Het Jan Marais Fonds (HJMF)

Contribution to theatre, film, media and performance activities

Numerous cultural projects, including festivals and plays, have been funded by this fund over the years.

In 2025 a n initial one year grant was made to the Africa Open Institute at Stellenbosch to process and catalogue the ESAT Archives (with an option for two more years).
