Career
Hazel was Head of the Department of Ballet at the East London Technical College for several years.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Hazel was actively involved in theatre in East London, as producer/director and choreographer. Productions directed by Hazel include: Hit the Deck (1956), No, No, Nanette (1957), Listen to the Wind (1960 and 1968), Peter Pan (1962 and 1972), The King and I (1964), The Wizard of Oz (1966), Carousel (1971), The Sound of Music (1974), My Fair Lady (1976).
She was choreographer for Something's Afoot (1981), Winnie-the-Pooh (1984).
As performer, she appeared in Will Jamieson's presentation of King Oedipus in Port Elizabeth in 1952.
