Melisizwe Community Theatre is a Soweto based community theatre company.

The company
"Melisizwe" is Zulu word for "community representative". It is community based theatre institution registered as a nonprofit generating Organization
Founded in 1982 by Darlington Michaels and McIntosh Khoale and began their work with the play The Eye (1982-1984), which they co-wrote, directed and acted in.
