Esta Terblanche (1973 - 2024) was a South African born actress.

Biography

Born on in Rustenburg, South Africa on 7 January, 1973.

She was crowned as Miss Teen South Africa in 1991 and started out as a TV actress when she was cast in the leading role of "Bienkie Naudé Hartman" in the TV soap opera Egoli: Place of Goldo shortly after leaving high school.

At the age of 23 she moved to America and in 1997 was cast as "Gillian Andrassy Lavery" in the lomng running American soap All My Children[1], a role she played from 1997 to 2001.

She married André Kock in 1997 and they divorced in 2008.

She passed away unexpectedly on 19 July 2024 at her home in Los Angeles at the age of 51.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Besides playing "Bienkie Naudé" in the TV soap Egoli and her American commitments, she would continue doing TV work in South Africa over the years.
