Paul Speirs is a film editor, writer and director.


Biography

Speirs has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television from the University of Cape Town, a BA in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from UCLA (2006-2007) and a certified course in Video Production through the University of the Nations.

He has worked as offline editor editor for Tswelopele Productions (2002 - 2004), editor and co-owner of ElectricStorm (2008 to 2010) and since 2010 as creative director and features editor for New Creation Collective (later rebranded as Then.)

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He works in a variety of film areas, from feature films to commercials, music videos to shorts. He works both internationally and from his studios in Cape Town, South Africa.

Films edited include: Orange Blank Blue (2012), The Good Man. Santana, Sons of the Sea,

Some of the short films he directed have included There is No End and Objectively Speaking
