Anneli van Rooyen (1961-) is 'a prominent Afrikaans performner and singer/songwriter sangeres.

Born in Pretoria on 25 Februarie 1961, she studied drama Pretoria University, where she immersed herself in the emerging kabaret and popular music tradition (inter alia as performer in ) and wen on to be voted the overall winner of the 1979 ATKV Crescendo competition.

This started her career as a leading singer-songwriter and recording artist.

She wrote the music for a song included in Temple Hauptfleisch's play André (), the theme tune for at least 3 TV series, including (Ek Wil Jou Ken = "I want to know you") for the series Skoppensboer
