Performance history in South Africa
1903: Performed on 13 September 1903 by the Muziek- en Debatsvereniging in the Gymnasiumzaal, Paarl, with Flik en Flok in de Klem (Metz).
1907: Performed sometime during the year by P.H.C. Pohl and Hendrik Momberg under the auspices of the Hollandse Debatsvereniging in the Ou Markgebou ("old market building"), Graaff Reinet.
1981: Performed by Universiteitsteater Stellenbosch on the occasion of the Republic Festival in May 1981 in the H.B. Thom Theatre, directed by Pieter Bredenkamp, starring Emile van Wyk, Neels Engelbrecht, Anton Smith, Johan Rademan, Cecile de Jager, Petra Aucamp, Ilzebeth Uys, Elzette Pretorius, Hannes Baard and Fanie Steenkamp.
