Training

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He played "Sparafucile" in the Black Tie Ensemble's production of Rigoletto in 2001. Neels Hansen offered him a full-time position at the BTE where he extended his training as a singer, whilst building performance experience in concerts.

He played "The Bonze" in Black Tie Ensemble's production of Madame Butterfly (2002)

In 2004 he sang the role of "Colline" in Puccini's opera La Bohème. Shortly after Vuyani received a scholarship to the Opera Queensland Young Artist Programme in Australia, which was followed by a full scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
