The text

The bilingual links the English word "roadkill" (with all its implications) to the Afrikaans word "padkos" (meaning "road food", i.e. provisions for a journey).

The text was originally written for Paul Roos Gymnasium, then later performed professionally.

Productions

1999: Performed as a school production by Paul Roos Gymnasium at the Brackenfell Festival.

2000: Performed at the Aardklop Festival in Potchefstroom, directed by Juanita Swanepoel with Jan Ellis, Francois Toerien, Abduragman Adams, Nicole Holm and Nico Dreyer.
