The original text
An shorter version Aron's 1978 play Along Came a Spider, adapted to replace the avenging daughter of an Irish servant with the daughter of a South African servant under Apartheid.
Published in Seven Plays and Four Monologues by Geraldine Aron (David Philip, 1985).

First presented in this form by the Hottentots Holland Dramatic Society in the Playhouse Theatre, Somerset West, in February 1985. Directed by Irmelda Pocock and featuring Marion du Toit, Hugh Rowling, Jill Cooke, and Will Hall.
