Since 2005 he has been the Manager of Film, Television and Video for the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in Mafikeng
He also has his own company, DT Entertainment for which he writes and directs plays. (e.g. Intuition)
He has written (and often directed) a number of plays over the years, including
Intuition (a stage play conceived and conceptualised by Douglas Tsimane in 2007, and has had successful performances at the NationalArts Festival and other venues, Intuition directed by Douglas Tsimane also in 2014, intuition also performed at the Grahamstown National arts festival the same year.)[1] // Intuition is a stage play conceived and conceptualised by Douglas Tsimane in 2007.
