BACHAKI THEATRE, [Soweto?*]. Founded in 1988 by[ Muntu wa Bachaki?**.] The first production was Top Down (1988), followed among others by * Thulani Mtshali’s Golden Gloves (1993)?*, Devil’s Den (1995)?* and Weemen (Grahamstown Festival, 1996), *
It is claimed in an obituary of Angifi Dladla that he founded the Bachaki Theatre in 1997. That appears to be incorrect. See Poetry Potion [1].
