Visions is a short play by Athol Fugard (1932-).

The play

The play was inspired by the 'outsider' art of Nukain Mabusa, and tells the story of a grandfather near death and a grandson taking over his creative role. The play shows people being creative in ways that make life worth living, and gives an example of Fugard's humour.

Referred to in McDonald's 'Afterword' to Exits and Entrances (2008).

The play appears to be an early version of/title for Fugard's later play, The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek (2015).
