Carousel [1] is a musical play by Rodgers and Hammerstein based on Ferenc Molnar’s Liliom as adapted by Benjamin F. Glaser. Music by Richard Rodgers, book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II.

1968: The Johannesburg Operatic and Dramatic Society production directed by Ella Gerber at the Civic Theatre, Johannesburg, in June-July 1968.
2002: Staged by the Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society .
